Cruises, excursions, reunions, birthday parties, romance and or just for fun and education--all are reasons to roll on the river with New Orleans' only paddle wheeler, the steamboat NATCHEZ. On some trips the new Executive Chef will be happy to serve up fine food as the captain orients travelers to the sights along the Mississippi River near New Orleans. Be sure to enjoy the SUNDAY JAZZ BUNCH.
The oldest plantation home in the lower Mississippi Valley, established in 1787, Destrehan Plantation is now on the National Register of Historic Places. Less than 30 minutes from New Orleans, the excellent guides and grounds provide perhaps the best overview of historic plantation life in Louisiana. Destrehan also features demonstrations, historic programs and a first-rate gift shop.
French Market Food & Music Tour starts inside the Jazz Park Visitor Center and culminates with a stroll through our lively Farmers Market, to end at the Old U.S. Mint. Tours are held rain or shine.
